1. Time to vent

    So I am really fucking frustrated at the moment with my weight loss. I currently weight 74.3 kg (163 pounds) and would like to get down to around 65kg (143 pounds) then re-evaluate. I would say my UGW is 60kg but honestly if I weighed 100kilos and loved what I see in the mirror I wouldn’t care. Weight I think is a good indicator if you have lots to lose, but when it gets down to the last 10kg i think you need to focus more on non scale victories.

    ANYWAY. So I’ve been seeing a Fernwood food coach for 3 and a bit weeks (this is my fourth week), and the first thing she told me is its 80% diet which I understand obviously and I that I was not nearly eating enough food for the exercise I was doing (1hr in the gym of HEAVY weights and running on other days). I was eating probably around 1200-1400 calories a day (net).

    So she immediately bumped me up to 1700 which I was actually horrified at and she literally guaranteed I would lose 500g-1k a week. THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED. The first week I was good - lost a kilo. Second week, put it all back on, third week lost 100grams. All she could tell me was that my results this week are due to me only exercising 3 times. Um, I thought you said it was 80% food?

    I’m not saying that the Information she is given me is wrong, but its really super hard to go to the gym 3-4 times per week and eat ALL THIS FOOD WHEN IM NOT EVEN HUNGRY then not lose ANY weight or body fat %. Like I feel like she needs to explain it to be on some sort of scientific level or at least console me or suggest something different?? I’m just at such a loss and the most frustrating part is that I’m so motivated and i feel like I’m putting all that motivation into the wrong thing!

    Does ANYONE have an opinion on this?? I desperately need help :( any advice and opinions are welcome.

  6. Today I climbed to the top of Mt Coolum on the Sunshine Coast. It was amazing, like a literally vertical climb haha (well very steep stairs anyway). It was so worth the view though.

    Afterward we headed into mooloolaba for brunch then a swim. I got soooooo sunburnt :( then we had froyo cos YOLO. It also cost $13.50 because apparently frozen yoghurt is much more expensive than in America. :/

    On a lovely day trip to the sunny coast with a girlfriend!

    We’re getting in a nice early start, hiking up mount Coolum, heading to the beach for a swim then lunch then heading home.

  8. Pretty damn devo..

    So I was supposed to be doing the Colour Run today at the Gold Coast - but it got rained out!! The course got flooded so it was apparently a no-go. We don’t get refunds, but we get to compete in the rescheduled one which is apparently happening in June. DAMN! 

    So last night I went for a run, as the BF got a new heart rate monitor and wanted to try it out. We decided we would run separately because I’m much slower than him and I know he likes to push himself. ANYWAY - 

    TURNS OUT - BEST RUN EVER!!

    I’ve been hitting the gym fairly hard the last 4-5 weeks, and not doing extended running at all (10 mins of incline running or bicycling). I ran the furthest and fastest I’d ever run and recovered SO QUICKLY. 

    I am extremely proud of myself :) THATS ALL! 

    Tomorrow is monday - I have food coaching at 8, hopefully I see some sort of result! But I dont think I’ll be too devo because I feel foxy this week.
